Susan Whittemore Moulton
Susan Whittemore Moulton - was born in Newbury, MA on June 21, 1856. Even as a child, she had a great love for English literature. She wrote short stories for magazines and newspapers and at the age of seventeen was published. Her poetry was, also, well regarded. Susan lived in the Moulton Castle her father built in 1861. It was the perfect setting to inspire such a talented young writer. At twenty-two years of age, she wrote the book "Hill Rest", which had a large circulation. Susan died at the age of thirty-two on February 19. 1889.
